Foobar's ASIO Plugin...24bit/96khz?

When I try to setup the ASIO for my M-Audio Transit on

Foobar's ASIO Virtual Devices menu,

This is what I see.

Analog 1/2 Transit 16-bit Left
Analog 1/2 Transit 16-bit Right


So when I try to test signal for the Left channel, the sound comes out both left and right side. And the same thing happens for the Right channel.

Is this a normal thing? I am worried, because my last USB soundcard had a clear distinction between Left and Right channel when I played the test signal..

Oh, and how can I set the sample rate for Transit output to 44.1Khz? I know that the M-Audio Transit is not fixed at 48khz output, and can have a variable sample rate for output...
