Gents,

When i get to the point of Installing Foobar, On the 'Install Type' page and I select 'Standard Installation', when I hit 'next' im getting an error message 'This file does not have a file associated with it for performing this action, create an association in the Set Associations control panel'.

Ive googled and searched for a fix, ive found some info but nothing i could understand! At this point I cant get Foobar to even install on my laptop which is running with Vista.

Can you guys point me in the right direction?

Cheers.

No idea really, but notice you are not using the latest Foobar2000 version. The website refer to v0.9.6.3, while you try to install 0.9.6.1
foobar2000: Download foobar2000 and optional components

Alternatively I think you can use 7-Zip to unpack the installer, so you can install manually.

Maybe because you didn't give it admin rights when you installed it. Lots of apps and games require admin rights to install correctly on Vista so you right click the file and select run as admin. Alternatively, you could have got the portable version of foobar which has no installer or registry entries and is self contained within its own folder. That's the version I use and prefer.

Third party stuff wont do you any good if you can't get Foobar2000 installed in the first place.
Which is why I pointed it out, cause the obvious first thing to try when running into issues are to use the latest version. In case its a fixed issue..

Alfa Romeos are just beautiful, yes, so now ive got foobar running, but the clicks during playback is driving me crazy, ive tried all the usual stuff with buffer size ect with no joy, seriously im beginning to wonder if my laptop as source is worth it!!
