Foobar.9.3.1 lagging

There is not a smooth transition between songs on a cd and I am wondering how to fix this. After a song ends everything stop while the cd drive rudely starts spinning up looking for the next track to play which it does after a few seconds but is there a way to have songs play smoothy without hearing the cd spin up and without the cd basically pausing briefly while this occurs? Windows media player does it smoothly but for some reason does not want to play any cd's in analog, only digital, I'd prefer analog playback on cd's.

I'm using a Motu Ultralite for music playback and have an X-fi for games, any help would be appreciated.

Well I just figured out the problem with Windows media player and have that up and running and playing back in analog so this is'nt an emergency but would changing the buffer settings in foobar possibly help with the foobar "lag"?
