Hey guys, me again. I posted around a week ago about getting a proper sound card for the Fidelio X1s, and I ended up getting the Sound Blaster Z. Now, this may be a noob question, but how can I tell if I'm getting the full potential from the headphones and the sound card? I mean, right now everything sounds amazing and I have basically default settings. I just wanna get the best quality I can get with this setup.

Disable the default SBX surround and crystallizer in the creative drivers. Use Foobar or Musicbee with Wasapi for playing the music in Windows. Use player EQ in music pkayer as needed to tweak sound signature.

When you installed the SB-Z sound card, did you disable the motherboard's on-board audio?

Here are two threads dedicated to answering questions about the SB-Z.
