foldable/closed cans on the go

I'd fully recommend the D66 "eggos", but they aren't totally closed, as others have said.
I'd have to say though, I reckon that these could take a beating, the rubber/metal headband can flex and bend into the most interesting shapes.

BTW, I'd never ride my bike with headphones, or even earbuds. Nothing!

when i ride in traffic i never wear headphones. when i ride on a closed bike trail i wear my modified ex70. i keep the volume down, and since (1) the ex70 sounds best at low volume and (2) i can still hear if someone else is on the trail even with the ex70 in, i've never had a problem. the music really helps my workout, and the ex70 cuts out the wind noise. now if someone is going to blow by you without saying "passing on your left" or at least using a bell, you're out of luck whether you're wearing headphones or not. of course when i'm riding i do the passing.

for any other use besides working out i would recommend you pick up some etymotics.
