zeo's offering his uniquely irreverent take on audio gear. i don't check out his youtube reviews regularly but i usually get a laugh out of them when i do. he can be hilarious at times (imo) and i'm glad he's on the interwebs ranting to anyone who will listen.

I just watched a couple of his videos and I cannot find a single opinion of his that I don't disagree with. I wonder if he's trying to be provocative on purpose to get more clicks.

I like zero reviews!
I think it s funny , not like that serious, sad , mid age audiophile!!
I also agree 4000$ for an headphone is overpriced, for any headphone!
I like and enjoy Utopia very much, sounds wonderful

Ugh, I wasted my time watching the Z-Review of the Utopia...

Does anyone else use the QES Labs Reference headphone amp with the Utopia? Zeos says that’s what he uses but it has an output impedance of 164 Ohms (QES Labs recommends a minimum of 200 Ohm impedance load), according to the specs. I reckon that would significantly affect the FR and performance of the Utopia and not give a good representation of the sound as designed. Not that I'm trying to debate his opinion or blindly defend the Utopia, but this seems like a massive mismatch.

To me, he really just tries to drive home his personal preference without ever really trying to understand what he has in his hands, or what gear he uses regularly, which is a disservice to his viewers... plus, I find him as obnoxious as can be.

Wow, that zero guy seems to hear the exact opposite of what I do. I guess it shows that the best way to find what works for you is to listen and not solely rely on online reviews.

a reviewer who polarises opinions - how unusual. it's all good publicity for zeo's youtube channel anyway.

Liquid Platinum(w/Gold Lions) Utopia combo works really well for me. Elex pads, Lazuli Ref cable. More impressions here.
Following extensive comparisons, I’m back to the stock pads. With the Gold Lions well burned-in and the Laz Ref cable and stock pads, Utopia is ‘just right’. Elex pads now seem just a bit too bassy, and maybe a bit treble recessed. Not bad, but stock pads are better.
