After reading so much feedback about this pairing it's time to apply some pressure internally at our office and kindly ask for buying these cans :D
There is definitely some synergy between the Focal drivers and the Ifi/Burr Brown setups from my experience. I've now heard the Stellia, Clear mg, and Elex on the Hip DAC2, Zen DAC2, and most recently Zen Air DAC. I'm finding that I keep going back to the Zen Air DAC with the Stellia vs. some of the other options I have to choose from. Still TBD on if it is simply the Amp/DAC combo or the Burr Brown chipset. Bottom line is I'm really enjoying it...and I believe you should have the Stellia in house for further listening as you continue developing new product.

Thanks for this info, it's highly appreciated! At the same time it should be known that Burr-Brown chips we've been using in our products are important, but so are power supplies, digital rceivers and output stages. So when you hear your ZEN Air DAC, that's the effect of all its circuits at work, not just our DAC chips, thanks :)

Absolutely loving the Stellia with the Chord Dave / M scaler setup. Maybe still in honeymoon period, but this being my first high end close back headphone, very much enjoyed the different presentation to open back, and not being distracted by ceiling fans etc.

Re cables, anyone know whether Stellia reacts better with copper or silver cables? Currently using Hifiman's noodle cable and actually sounds fantastic to my ears. Are most using copper / silver / or fusion like the above? 😊

I'm using a DHC Clone Silver with my Stellia's. The pairing sounds great together.

I have a copper cable. Cardas Parsec which I really like. Tons of detail, never glaring hi's and wonderfully full bass magical midrange

I have done lots of a/b testing with stock to cards cable and I do hear a difference.

Cool, I don't believe you.
Please move this discussion to the right thread, folks- there is a specific area for this type of differing points of view. Let’s stay on topic, eh?

Yep, Matt's hybrid is a highly universal range that works very well with Focals and Senns. We'd use his copper series for cans short on bass amount, but FAW's hybrid would step in with pretty much everything else :)
