Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV

The Stellia is still being offered as a package with the Focal Arche for $4000 US. You could sell the Arche separately for $2000 (brand new in box) and then have a Stellia for $2000. A pain, for sure, but perhaps you’d like the Arche as well!

I saw that deal but I wasn’t sure if that was the amplifier I really wanted, I don’t wanna deal with the hassle of selling it, and I have a feeling it won’t be that easy to sell if everyone does it.

I've seen a bunch of mint Stellia sell for $1800-$1900 recently. The lowest I saw was an open box from WW Stereo on eBay. I think it'll eventually drop to $1500 or so.

I can’t do used on headphones. Just a personal choice of course.

I guess I'm the opposite because I can't do retail price on audio. Like buying a new car, the value sinks immediately as you drive it off the lot. I'll pass on paying a premium for the new car/headphone smell.

Used is definitely the way to go as you lose very little if any when reselling. But like @NeoDiNardo , I typically don't do used for sentimental reason.

Yeah makes sense. You also get the benefit of warranty buying new, since many are not transferable. Pros/cons.
I've bought all my used equipment with warranties in Japan, between 3 months to 1 year depending on the item. So far, so good. Like I bought the Sony NW-WM1Z for $1600, and it's been a gem so far. I don't mind some Stellias used. Thanks for the feedback, everyone.

I'm sending my Stellia back to France. One of the frame attachments to the left cup is loose and moves and clicks when holding the headphone. The other 3 frame/cup attachment points are tight/firm with no play. Dealer I bought it from is going to help me get Focal to rectify or give me a new replacement.

I am in need of some cash....super sad the Stellia may have to be on the block. Maybe be a decent deal on a Stellia/Silver cable combo hitting the classifieds soon :sob:
