You'd have to try it. And to answer your next question....it's $500.

I've heard that the Stellia has sealing issues, but I literally cant seem to have any. Even if I hold the cans to my head, the bass response really doesn't change. I find them to be bass-light, not heavy at all. At least for R&B type music with thumping bass. For anything else it has plenty of bass. I think its just that the drivers are fast and don't reverb with bass thump like I'm used to for bass thumps.

Could it be that I just never get a seal?

Love the way they sound if so. LOL

I definitely get improved bass if I swap glasses, but listening without glasses the sound/seal doesn’t really change no matter how I position them. As to whether they are bass heavy or light, in the context of high performance i’d say they’re just a little north of neutral but with well defined layered bass especially compared to most other CB’s I’ve listened to, but they don’t have the impact of OB like empyreans or lcd4z or 3s. I have heard more hard hitting CB’s but there’s always been at the cost of control and definition probably due to limitation of CB form. That said I’d personally trade thump for definition/ layering pace, dynamism and control all of which the stellias provide at a very high level. I should caveat this by saying all my listening is done at moderate levels (as reference for those who know it, red on the hugo2). I can’t really comment or draw comparison based on listening at high volumes, bar a few brief occasions and then my critical faculties are probably rendered unreliable by the presence of red wine

Im not sure if this has mentioned before (theres no way I'm reading through 68 pages), but how do the stellias perform in terms of sound leakage? I rarely have more than 2 hours of listening all alone, so this is rather make or break.

They leak. Not that bad, but more than other (more affordable) closed backs I had (B&W P7 or Oppo PM3). That being said of course it depends on your listening volume.

Leakage is minimal. The pads are cushy and the clamp is not super tight, so some sound will leak.

I just wanted to let folks here that I finally got my Drop THX AAA 789 headphone amp which I have paired with my Stellias. I am using a balanced TechnoRob Neotech Copper/Silver cable. I have this paired with an SMSL VMV D1 DAC which is balanced out to the THX AAA 789. The system is super clean and boy does it drive the Stellias with authority. Way more slam than with my Chord Mojo. This system just grips the Stellias. I am still getting used to the overall balance which is brighter than the Mojo. It is not really fatiguing, but I think I will be using the Tube 1 setting on some brighter recordings (a lot of modern pop). I will update here over the next few days if people are interested.
