Additional details from Focal

The Radiance headphones, under licence of Bentley Motors, complement the range of Focal closed-back headphones. With their ultra-sophisticated design and fine materials (full-grain leather, aluminium, etc.), they draw on the codes and signature of the Bentley brand. The luxury car manufacturer's “Diamond” effect is found on the headband, the grille of the ear pads and the cable connectors of the headphones. The “Bentley wings” are also present on Radiance, in addition to an elegant copper finish.

These high-end headphones are packed with the latest Focal technologies for an astonishing, dynamic listening experience. They are equipped with a full-range speaker driver and a 15/8" (40mm) aluminium/magnesium “M” shape dome. The bass is deep and impactful, the midrange is balanced and the treble is mellow and linear: you’ll never look back!

The electrical tape absorbs parasitic micro-vibrations that would otherwise emanate from one earcup and travel through the headband to contaminate the other earcup, muddling the stereo imaging. Or something.

From the spec it looks like a retuned elegia rather than a closed back clear. Its going for £1,199 in the UK on bentley’s website.

According to Focal, it's an all-new driver. As far as tuning goes though, it's impossible to say until someone actually listens to the headphones. Focal let us know that they should hopefully have a demo unit sent out to us this week so that will be going to @Resolve right away for impressions, measurements and review.

For pricing, this is what we have:

UK: £1,199
US: $1290 USD
CAD: $1690 CAD

It is drop dead good-looking. Just how to get rid of the ugly Bentley logo (?).
Exactly!

yeah but just looking at the impedance, thd and fr its identical to the elegia. But the driver on the radiance is slightly larger by 0.01” (0.254mm) and the sensitivity also drops by 4db/mW.. cant wait for proper impressions on these to come out...

Very interested to hear how this sounds. I’d have to tape over that silly Bentley logo. Are there actually people who would buy a $1,200 headphone because Bentley has its logo on it?

Would love to see measurement to judge if the upper midrange is not a bit recessed as in Stellia. Very interested, beautiful design, good work.

I believe Jude has a Radiance right now and he indicated on Facebook he should have measurements out soon. We're hoping our demo will arrive next week so Resolve can get his measurements up as soon as possible as well.

Great, @Resolve is my favourite reviewer after Tyll retired.
