What are these profiles for? Is one for desktop and another for DAP?

Well partly yes, the sound profile of Elegia is a bit weird, but it is a very capable pair of headphones, very detailed so a lil' EQ will give you incredible results. And of course, most headphones do not a flast sound signature, just because it doesn't sound particularly good..

That would be right in most cases, since most DAPs only have fixed-band equalizers. But it would be applicable to desktop, also, if the user did not have parametric equalizer software installed. And a lot of high-end DAPs have PEQ, so the PEQ profile can be used on these, too. Depends on the equalizer you have at hand.

Do you use these EQ profiles? With or without the Dekoni leather pads?

Me? No. I do have the Elegia's fitted with the Dekoni non-fenestrated sheepskin pads.
