All these talk about pad discoloration and cleaning, solution to my pro- headband wool cover from eBay and swap out my Beyerdynamic cup covers.
I have not noticed any change to the sound but then again I don’t have “ the golden ears”

Slight edit. I have the Clear, I have the Aiva’s.
I also have a pair of ModHouse Argon’s.
They all get ear time.
But the Aeon 2’s closed get the majority of my time.

I'm currently weighing up the Clears and the Aeon2 as a next purchase but there's very little info out there on the Aeon2 as they're so new. How would you compare the two? Seems like you prefer the Aeon2?

I’m curious about the same thing. I have the original AFC which I understand the Aeon 2 improves on, but I haven’t seen an AFC2 to Clear comparison.

Anyone using Kimber Axios cable with the Focal Clear. I need to replace a Wireworld Nano Platinum Eclipse cable that is too short for my current setup. I will be using these with a Chord Hugo TT2.

I am also considering cables from DanaCable, Nordst and Moon.

Headband cover is the most practical solution. I use one too.

Anyone compared Focal Clear with Sony MDR-Z1R. Also can you use Focal Clear cable on the Sony MDR-Z1R?

Z1R is has much darker sound, less detali, bigger soundstage, they are more musical, and yes you can use cable form Clear on Z1R.

Yes I did it often. The Clears sound much more alive and more enjoyable to me. Also, being open they are much more comfortable temperature wise.

Thank you. I love my Focal Clear. I would like a 2nd Headphone that is under 400g and great for Movies. Currently I keep unplugging and moving my Clear for TV/Movie listening, but would rather use it only for music on my desk.

I am hoping for a under 400g, excellent Low end Base, Soundstage which is good for movies and has a 3m cable. I thought Sony MDR-Z1R is a good fit. I don’t like Audeze as too heavy. Also sensitive to sibilance.

Any ideas?

my budget is £1,600.
