What sort of foam tips will work on cx300s?

I like the cx300s, but I really need some foam tips for them since I spend a lot of time commuting on trains. I've been looking around (everywhere), and it seems like the Shure E2C foam tips and the super.fi foam tips will fix on the cx300s. Can someone please confirm it?

I bought some shure e2c foam tips on ebay, and there's no way they'll fit on my cx200s. I don't know whether I got ripped off on ebay, or if they just don't fit.

I appreciate your help.

thanks.

I would like to know this also, I just got some white CX-300 not used this type of can before, it's not that bad sound wise but I was wondering if foam may be better when jaming them into my ear

I'm in the same boat. It's amazing that an apparently reputable, quality (?), company mass markets an IEM without readily available replacement ear pads.

I'll be interested in suggestions.

Many thanks

I have the Creative EP630, and I removed the plastic tube from my Koss Sparkplug tips and jammed them onto the EP630. Definitely more comfortable for me. It was a very tight fit, and I think it probably helped that my Sparkplug tips were a bit worn and softer than a new set. I would also very much like to know what other tips will fit - how about the Westone Comply tips?

wouldn't you have to remove the small plastic shaft that is inserted in the westone complys? the wesone have a completely different mount system, since they are armatures, not dynamics... so i don't think without some serious mods, it would work.

I'm awaiting delivery of my CX300s (11/29). I have some of the orange foamies from an old set of Shure E2Cs. When they come in, I'll try them and post my findings.

I read on another thread that the tips from the Sony EX series (51, 71, etc.) will fit the CX300. I have used the tips from my Shure E2C with a Sony EX51 and they fit just fine. So, theoretically, the E2C tips will fit the CX300.

I got my CX300s today. Awesome little canalbuds. I tried to fit the foam tips from the Shure E2C and they wouldn't go on. The soft flex tips for the Shure E2c did, however, fit. The flange on the end of the CX300 stem is keeping the E2C foamies from going on...and the fact that the foamies have that rigid almost plastic tube in the middle.

I've read that the foamies from UEs super.fi line fit the CX300. I'm going to order their sample packet. I'll report back if anyone is interested.

I can confirm from personal experience that the Ultimate Ears tips, including their foamies, will fit the CX300.

I've never seen the Comply tips up close - all I have seen is the picture on the Westone website. Is there something inside the foam?

Yes, a plastic or some sort tube. It's for sure smaller than CX300's nozzle. In general tips for armature-driver IEMs do not work with dynamic-driver ones due to the smaller nozzle diameter.

And since the ep630's are cosmetically identical it should fit them too, correct?

I believe people have mentioned somewhere that these rubber tips from Creative, Senns, Panasonics and Sony's are interchangeable, so I assume any tip that fits CX300 will fit yours.
