FlipEars is the first Filipino company to manufacture universal and custom in-ear monitors in the country.

Founded by singer-songwriter @Aries Sales, it was with great pride and honour to come up with the name FlipEars, as a tribute to the Filipinos heart and passion for great music, having a high standard for sound quality and music appreciation.

They have had some great releases in the recent past. I think we should have a new place to discuss their new lineups.

AETHER (Price: $699)

Specification:
  • 4-way Crossover + Bass Switch
  • 4BA drivers: 1-Sub low, 1-Low, 1-Mid, 1-High
  • Sensitivity: 109dB @1mW
  • Frequency Response: 5HZ - 20kHz

FlipEars Aether presents a lush, pleasing vocal timbre that brings you in intimately, with surprisingly more than enough detail in a 4BA configuration. There is a bass boost switch, which turns the Aether into an enjoyably fun pair. The 5db bass boost reveals an engaging, well-rounded lower end.

ARTHA (Price: $1499)
Specification
  • 4-in-1 crossover
  • 8 BA drivers: 2 Sub-Bass 2 Low 2 Mid 2 High
  • Sensitivity: 118dB @ 1mW
  • Impedance: 16ohms @ 1kHz
  • Frequency Response: 5Hz – 25kHz
The FlipEars Artha is packed with 8 balanced armature drivers in a 2-2-2-2 configuration, a true 4-way crossover, and 2 switches—one for low boost and the other for peak shifting.

When you listen to the Artha in all of its different configurations, you’ll find out how it’s so purposeful, how it gives meaning to the different tunes you enjoy, and how it pulls out the very essence of the music you love to listen to. It just makes you want to keep going.

AURORA (Price: $2,099.00)

Specification:
  • 10 Tribrid Speaker Configurations
  • 2 EST – 2 Ultra High
  • 6 BA – 2 Low-Mid, 2 Mid, 2 Mid-High
  • 2 Firewoofers – Sub-Bass.
  • Sensitivity: 124dB @ 1mW
  • Impedance: 21ohms @ 1kHz
  • Frequency Response: 5Hz – 70kHz

The Aurora features our twin 9mm dynamic Firewoofers, resulting in a tight bass response with deep extension. Mids are very transparent, purely reflecting the details of any recording. Highs are truly crisp but non-fatiguing, displaying dynamic flickers as wonderful as the polar lights.

The FlipEars Aurora has fresh, new, all-leather packaging with a built-in LCD display. Inside, there is a leather carrying case, a microfiber cleaning cloth, 6 different pairs of silicon earphone tips with organizers, cable adapters, cable organizers, and stickers.

These new in-ears come standard with an 8-core OCC copper cable with a default 2.5mm termination and 3.5mm and 4.4mm adapters.

Artha in the house. Solid performer and even more impressive bass for an all BA iem. The switches on it give quite different flavors. With both switches on, the bass quantity is a lot and there is more openness to the sound. Artha has a very good resolution and throws good amount of details. The midrange is forward and very clean. The treble is smooth with good amount of details and extension. Technically, Artha is quite solid. I have to give it more time and will share detailed impressions in a few days.

Hi everyone!

Reviving an older thread but I wanted to share my full review for the FlipEars Legion. It's a new addition to the Arsenal Collection and the more expensive of the collection. Aegis will be priced lower (Legion is targeting $900 while Aegis is targeting $500) but I haven't gotten my hands on that set yet.

I've been rocking it for the past week now and it's such a fun, engaging set. I highly recommend it.

Written review will get posted soon.

FlipEars is going to be at NYC CanJam so anyone attending should go check them out!

Are you still enjoying your set? I just received mine a week ago. I really really like it, so far.
This is a really well done set, sadly had to pass it on as it has been a while.
I am really looking forward to buying Legion

It really is impressive! I think it really deserves so much more recognition than it has received. It has become my daily driver now. I also have the Legion on order and I’m excited to experience that one, too! 😁

Using this for 2 weeks now and I can say that these have flown under the radar. This is the first version (not the XXIV) and the mids on these are to my liking. Bass impact is there when needed, but an eq bass boost does wonders.

100% agree! They are tuned extremely well and are extremely cohesive across all drivers throughout the entire frequency response.

The sub bass and bass quantity and quality are amazing on the XXIV, but of course a little PEQ boost makes it even better😁, and it handles it well.

I feel like the Aurora’s are just so natural and organic and present the music so faithfully to how the track was mixed.

It is a warm, balanced set and the vocals sound so engaging and emotional…they aren’t recessed, nor too far forward…they are just right!

The vocals don’t feel like they are separated out and pushed unnaturally forward, as with some hybrid IEMs. They also aren’t narrow in your head. They are staged perfectly! They sound full and rich, while maintaining outstanding clarity and detail. As many other reviewers have stated…they just come across so lush and organic!!

It almost feels more like I’m listening to a high-end studio monitor speaker vs. an IEM. And, they just beg to have you turn the volume up…nothing ever becomes harsh or sibilant…just more engaging and immersive.

The treble is very detailed…for my personal tastes, I just needed to add in a slight PEQ boost in the upper registers for a little more air. Doing so, really brings them to life even more.

Then there’s the build quality! Just ridiculous! So well built and stunning to look at. I appreciate the wider nozzles as I have larger ear canals…with the Baroque Tips they are very comfy. I’ve had them in for six hours straight without any discomfort.

I really just love these! Can’t get enough!

Unfortunately I couldn’t capture the light with the camera angle to properly show off the Aurora light show when it refracts light and reveals the shimmering, changing hues of blue and green with the silver logo.

I also love the attention to detail with the Aurora styling not just on the outer shell, but the inner side that faces the ear as well.

Then the “XXIV” included at the top.

These are special IEMs! And in my opinion, a STEAL at their price point!
