The qdc VX is priced at $1,799 at MusicTeck, and the DMagic is about $700 less, so I’m undecided on which way to go since we’re talking about a blind purchase. I’d like the VX, but since I can’t order it with a balanced connection, that means I will need to replace the cable, hence, additional cost. The DUNU type changeable connectors is a nice feature on the DMagic.

Man... I know it's a 3D render, but JH just keeps knocking these designs out of the park, man! 'Can't wait to see all the other ones unveiled within the next couple days.

The number of DMagics I've seen go on sale I can count on 1 hand. Interest doesn't seem to be high and they've gone for below what I would consider letting go of mine for. So for resale value, the VX seems a much better preposition considering it goes used for about the price of a brand new DMagic. But only if you get it during a sale like this. The qdc VX is priced at $1,799 at MusicTeck, and the DMagic is about $700 less, so I’m undecided on which way to go since we’re talking about a blind purchase. Is this a new model? Or just a new design for an existing model?

I think it’s just a new design. Is this a new model? Or just a new design for an existing model?

It’s just a new design option, like the Luthier or the President.

Something very nice arrived today... my very first custom from Penon, their flagship Volt tribrid (1 DD, 2 BA and 4 EST) and it fits beautifully!
I'll wait to post impressions but I can already say it's going to be a very pleasant review
A few quick pics before I take proper shots...
Stock cable is not too shabby either, consistent with the superb build quality and given the asking price a very strong proposition!

Just tried the Penon Volt + Azla Xelastec + Penon Totem out of the iBasso DX220 Max. All I can say is wow, just wow. Every component just complements each other, insane synergy.

Only heard VX briefly almost 2yrs ago at canjam nyc, and I recall it was a more balanced sounding IEMs while Dmagic (despite 3DD it sounds more like 3BA) has a flat neutral bass and more mid-centric sig with a brighter treble.

Couldn't have said it better. Well played.Only heard VX briefly almost 2yrs ago at canjam nyc, and I recall it was a more balanced sounding IEMs while Dmagic (despite 3DD it sounds more like 3BA) has a flat neutral bass and more mid-centric sig with a brighter treble.
I just ordered the Anole VX, so I hope I like it. I get a good sense from reading comments, reviews, and taking a look at Crinacle’s graphs that I will be happy with this purchase. I’ll report back after I receive it.
