Sounds interesting, I will try to audition it in Beijing. I want a good universal to switch from my customs. I am hesitating between smooth like the Grace, or detailed like the Flamenco (French forum loves it) or something else like the VX. Or course I also want to get the Sony Z1R...
There are two different versions of the flamenco, right? I heard the older one and didn’t like the tuning. I think it is a likeable tuning but I heard more detailed IEMs (like U18t, samba, PP8).

Wow the adaptors are at the exact same spot in both pictures, Amazon jp is charging 3 times the price.
Here's the link to the taobao item: https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a21wu.12321156-tw.0.0.6475442fXaJjMa&id=567081840762
or you can try ebay ones that are also expensive: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=0.78+MMCX&_sacat=0

2pin to JH 4pin adapter from Willow Audio China. You can find them in Taobao. They have other adapters as well.

I may adaptor-roll one day (2-pin to 4-pin or 2-pin to IPX most likely). Do you notice any decrease in SQ by adding an adaptor into the chain?

It's nice to have another option outside http://e4ua.jp, but will have to weigh quality vs cost if there is a need at that time. If SQ does not decrease much, may lean towards cost savings.

The nice thing about e4ua is that one can customise their adapter. For example, I'm considering purchasing an 2-pin standard to 2-pin Ultimate Ears extruded (available options: .75mm or .78mm) angled (available options: 60 to 90 degrees) and have the option to reverse the polarity within the adapter (UE reverses polarity). But the cost is hefty.

Also if anyone spots these adaptors at a physical location in Hong Kong and/or Shenzhen, pls post store or general vicinity.

BTW, nice cables!

What about changes to sound quality?

Thanks for sharing! These look so nice. I've been wondering, how does transparent silicone hold up against oily skin and yellowing over time?

Ditto on sound quality...

I had something similar with custom clear silicones around 2003-2004 for the ER4S. I hardly used them as I upgraded to the UE10 CIEM at that time. In my case, they fade and discolor over time even in storage and not being used. But tech and quality may have changed since that time...

Just curious which you prefer, silicone tips and universal body or full custom?

The shots on the FIBAE 2 were taken today. I think they have done well, but I probably would get black next time.

I saw the LX and I promptly had my hopes lifted and dashed against the cliffs of Dover. Praise Empire for universals that stay in my ear.

@pithyginger63
I believe the uncensored term you could use is /r/headphones redditors.
Yes, I too was really hoping they would work for the X, but I really didn't think they would and Piotr, of Custom Art, was straightforward about really needing a lip on the nozzle to hold the Custom tip on the nozzle.

PW also make mmcx > fitear/cm adapters that are sold at physical shops in hk. So does rhapsodio.

e4ua are still markedly better built than other DIYers out there but they are priced accordingly.

prc made adapters tend to be ok but are more fragile and not really meant to withstand frequent mechanical stress.

an anecdotal observation, prc diyers are really good at making the adapters as compact as possible. I once forwarded a pic of a prc adapter to e4ua and the reply i received was “!!!!!!”

Glad you posted that link, the one on Amazon Japan is branded by Linsoul. It looks like Willow Audio, Linsoul, and some others are just re-branding these generic adapters. I just pinged Linsoul and they will have these on Amazon US soon. In a meantime, I should get a pair for testing. I did review Rhapsodio ones before, but they were pricey due to higher grade material and Far infrared isolation inside. But the biggest problem, they were straight which didn't work with some of my IEMs. These budgets one are angled which should improve the ergonomics of over-ear fit, though judging by taobao price I'm sure it's a cheap connector material. Either way, will make a mini-review once I receive it. I was super impressed with Leo II pair up with Solaris, but using 2pin to mmcx adaptor with Solaris shells didn't work out quite well with my ears. Hoping these angled ones will be friendlier.

I think you mean dumbass /r/headphone redditors and audio science review
I was being nice. If you want mean, there's also a couple paragraphs of cantonese and mandarin cussing when I thought it out in my head

So apparently Naga also makes iems. Their flagship 12 driver is in 4 low 4 mid 4 high config. I wonder how much they learn from reshelling Laylas. Doesn't look like they have particularly dramatic tubing like the treble for Layla
Everybody and their mother is making IEMs nowadays

if you don't mind, I'd like to read. My Mandarin is limited but I do get by in Taiwan.

Also, In order for this post to not be considered off topic, I'll post pictures of my reshell design. I'm thinking of adding more Naga logos to it
FB_IMG_1549251572331.jpg FB_IMG_1549251565834.jpg
basically gold flake with purple and orange-ish wood faceplate.
Should I add logos? keep in mind, these will have apex module cause it's an A12t
