Normally I would say I was really tempted by TOTL closed-back Sennheiser headphones, as it is really interesting, but lucky for me I have too much distraction (coming in)...This has nothing to do with the Phantom or the Legend X or CIEMs for that matter, but I’mma just leave this here...

Save for the price tag, I'm quite excited for the HD820 release as well.
yes,
compared to the current models it's a big jump.
Since will be available at the CES, I really hope to give it a try at the CanJam in NY.

That new Senn has me lusty as hell. No way I'll buy it, though.

Good guys AKG, putting up new flagship in price of older model. Other manufacturers should take lesson from this

To be fair to 64 Audio, for example, after all the flak they got for pricing the A18 and Fourte so luxuriously, they priced the U12t to match the A12's MSRP. Though the A12t will be pricier than the A12, considering the extra costs in labor and manufacturing custom Tia drivers, it's warranted and it shows some form of financial restraint.

Alas there are no more „AKG guys“ because the factory in Vienna was closed and only the label „AKG“ survivedGood guys AKG, putting up new flagship in price of older model. Other manufacturers should take lesson from this

Was A12 the first $2k IEM? I can't remember whether that came out first or Layla. Then the floodgates opened.
I think Layla was out first...I remember buying it and was so disappointed when I couldn't get a seal with my Frankenstein bolts. Was A12 the first $2k IEM? I can't remember whether that came out first or Layla. Then the floodgates opened.
I think around the same time Noble came out with the Wizard exotic wood ciems.I think Layla was out first...I remember buying it and was so disappointed when I couldn't get a seal with my Frankenstein bolts.
If so, then the Avara is showing some form of financial masochism from their pricing.
Hey guys, maybe you can help me out here. I have just sold my Vega and I am on the prowl for a totl iem, I want this one to be it - no more looking around! I really tried with the Vega, cable and custom tips but ultimately the tonality just wasn't suitable for the genres I listen to
So, musical preferences : Metal. A lot of it. I buy 5-15 albums a month or so on bandcamp so not all of it is tried and true, mastering and recording quality can be questionable. Mostly stoner, sludge, psych, black, death and some power. I listen to a lot of other kinds of music too but let's just say 90% band based and rest is electronic and female pop. Rarely jazz and classical.
I am looking for big bass, 3d stage and smooth treble. Not necessarily highest resolution or treble definition, not the biggest stage necessarily either. Non fatiguing is essential.
Looking at: se5, aether, zombie, fibae totl (?)future sonics mg6hx and a lot of universal iems by a&k, accustune, oriolus and so on.
Any help is appreciated
