D2000 still going strong...and lots of Beyer 770 and DT-150, and for some reason a big swell in AKGs...

I think the head-fi flavor of the past 2 months has been the Denon D1001 ...look at how often it's recommended to people.

The D2000 for sure. We can blame the low impedance and boomy bass of it. I went and tried a pair of D1000 (or D1001) in a shop and it was the first "cheap" headphone I've listened to that (to me) didn't sound fairly blah, so I'm not surprised they get quite a few recommendations.

Stax (SR-Lambda, SR-007A, ..) seem to get a lot of love these days. As well does the K701, HD650, D2000 and others.
Aka, quite hard to say which one if the FOTM

I'd go with the ESW10JPN - pure good looks and high prices.

Next Jan. they'll be cheap as chips!
