hello
im pretty new to the audiophile community. ive been looking and browsing the head-fi forums for around 3 weeks and decided to join.

hopefully I can get guidance from the headphone gurus of head-fI who have golden ears.

the list of equipment I own
1. headphones
audio technica m50x
razer kraken (oh god. extreme bass head cans. I used to think bass was everything until I heard other headphones and threw the kraken away lol)

2. in ears
shure se112+
hifiman re-00 (massdrop) pending on shipping

3. source, amp, dac
nothing

a pretty small list of stuff (since im still in school) but I am def going to get a k7xx or a x2 or hd600 soon. and also hopefully a great pairing amp that would go with it.

since I live in korea headphone prices are more expensive. the x2 goes for 350 bucks hd600 goes for 360 bucks. so bascially everything is priced 50-100 dollars more. it is quite a pain to choose from a international deal or a local one.
also I would love some help on choosing my next cans.

I usually listen to a lot of instrumental, electronic, and house music. I do also listen to classical, vocal, and hiphop occasionally. I also want to try open headphones for the first time in my life.
so I have a budget of 350- 400 (max) dollars.
my possible choices hd600 / k7xx / x2
I would probably buy the x2 from MD if possible. I heard ordering from amazon or ebay and getting it to here can be very complicated and also expensive to do (idk if thats true). plus I would need an amp for the hd600 and akgs. which would be another 100 dollars or more spent. oh there goes my wallet rip

anyways it would be helpful if you guys could tell me which headphone is best. thanks

That's funny. I went from the Kraken to the HD600. Light-years better.

Of course, you will want an amp and DAC to take advantages of their qualities.
