Hello, I just joined the forums, but I've been looking through this site for about 3-4 days now finding all the info I could before posting.
First just so you know, this is my first hifi setup, so basicly I have the understanding that any phones/amps combo suggested on this site would impress me.
Right now Im set on the Senn HD600 since it has a "Neutral" "Safe" sound which sounds good for a first set since I can go from there if I want something more specific.
For whatever reason I seem to be set on the amps from Little Dot Mk series, I was thinking about the MKIII, if theres a problem with that one or you think I would have a better experience with a Soild State MKV (Which from what I read, MKIII should be the way to go)
I'll be using this in my computer, So I was going with the HT Omega Halo, I like the opticals on the back and the mic input compared to the ASUS STX. I heard something about changing the OPamps, but I doubt I won't be more than happy with the combo above.
In short HT Omega Halo > Little Dot MKIII > HD600
1.) This a good setup, Will they work together?
2.) The built in amp in the sound card is Soild State Technology? If so, I'll still see the warmth and details of a the MKIII Tube Amp?
3.) Whats the maintenance on Tube Amps? I read their easy to find parts and changing tubes is as easy as changing a light bulb? lol
Im mostly going to be using this setup for music, movies, games. I don't need/care about gaming EAX effects or anything like that. Lol funny how much people hate creative, I've had quite a few of their cards and never had any problems, infact the card I got in my computer right now is a Audigy2 but does'nt work after I installed Windows 7 : (
