Wow, the built quality on this is cheap! For a $300 MSRP product, you'd think there would be zero plastic imperfections, but no, this thing cosmetically looks like it's $2 made in China earphones. There are plastic mold extrusions everywhere. Cord is nice though. But i guess it's the sound that counts!

more to come.

Mine only have an "L" designation and it is incredibly faint. I almost have to hold it in certain light to even see it. There is nothing on the other housing designating "R" which I thought was odd.

I wish the braided portion of the cable was heavier. My last pair developed a short rather quickly with no abuse whatsoever.

But yes, they sound very, very good!

Yeah i have a red dot instead of "R".

And Are those individually numbered barrels?

Mine (S) has R and L designators, and each barrel has its own number. BTW, I don't think red dot is a standard issue, did you get them used?

Mine also (p) and the barrels are slightly ribbed.

Just got my NEW ER-4P's, and the left one has an embossed "L", while the right one has a red dot and no "R".

I agree that they sure don't look like much, but I find them to be very easy to insert, very comfortable, and they sound great.

No, they are new from Amazon. The red dot comes off very easily. I think it might be a usage indicator.

I think they look purpose-built and minimalistic. They don't need a fancy design to sell.

I think it's amazing that in all that time no one still has ever come close to doing treble as well as Ety (to reveal that much detail with so little siblance).

Triple Fi's are getting closer but they are still a ways away IMHO.
