First headphones after discovering Head-Fi

AKG 701's ($200, which I then discovered I had to get an amp to listen to properly.. whoops)

Next I picked up RS-1's as I have realized that I miss listening to rock and I hate that my crappy computer speakers produce a better rendition of dark side of the moon than my K701's.

In the beginning I went with ER 6i's, loved em, then UE SF 3's, gave them away with in a month, and now I have Shure scl5's, at first I was weary now I love them. Next on the list is SR 225 with alo cups and headcoverage headband.

Sennheiser HD 595, been listening to them for around 12 hours now and I'm REALLY enjoying what I'm hearing...

Ultrasone HFI-700DVD - loved them and ditched the Bose QC2.

HD600 the same week as the HFI-700 - they sounded bland at first and sent me on a quest to find a proper amp for them, and within 6-8 weeks I had the Dark Voice 336i to drive them properly.

I still have both of them today, despite my huge inventory or big list of things I've sold.

Well, I had my HD600 before I came to head-fi, so I don't know if this counts but it was an AKG 240 studio (though the first headphone bought that resulted from head-fi was a AKG 240 sextett LP). I paid a bit over $200 from memory and couldn't be happier with it (not very detailed but a beautifully smooth mid range).

Head-fi to me as been more usefull with regards to dac's and amps.

I was split between the MDR-V6 and K81DJ. Bought the MDR-V6 but decided they were too ridiculous to use for commuting, which was my original application. Returned them and switched them for the K81DJs. The K81DJ cable promptly broke after a few months of service. Bought Shure E2Cs, then Ultimate Ears super.fi 3. When the UEs broke I picked up some Skullcandies to keep me going until I found the next big thing (it was an emergency of sorts so my choices were limited).

I loved the MDR-V6, the K81DJs are good but very clampy. Loved the Shure and UEs. Hate the Skullcandies, very bad SQ.

I got sennheiser 650s without knowing what good cans are, so I was lucky, but since joining headfi I have got beyerdynamic DT990s and soonish I'll probably get Ultrasone Pro 900s, I think they're called

HD600 after a ridiculous amount of research and I love them to death. I'm still in the burn in process. Only had them for 2 days but I've listened to them for over 10 hours.
