Just wanted to share my excitement that I'm getting my first pair of Grado's this week, SR60's.

I've done a TON of reading, and this seemed like the best jump for me.

My budget has to encompass these Grado's as well as a new pair of in-ear buds, the sony mdr-ex51's aren't cutting it any more.

Anyways, looking forward to becoming more involved in the forum and getting some advice.

Grados!

The SR-60's are excellent headphones, they'll serve you long and faithfully!

LOL.

I even read on another website to stay away from this site if you value you're wallet.

Well, now I've got about $100-$125 left to pick up some decent buds for the gym. The sony mdr-ex51 are giving me a headache now..

Enjoy them, and, in time, look to see whether an SR-125 or SR-325 is in your future.

And after that... a RS1, maybe. Anyway, congrats! I was in this hobby for years but haven't hear the SR60 yet.

Instead of buds you could consider Koss KSC-75 clip-on headphones. Great sound for very little money.

I strongly considered getting SR-60s or SR-80s, but went with Sennheiser 280 Pros last week. I'll get some Grados eventually! Let us know how you feel about 'em after you listen to em!

Funny, I was strongly considering a pair of 280's...

That was another choice. I want to try the Grado's as a first pair of open air cans..

I've always liked being closed off to the world around me, but want to give these a shot at home. I've just read too many darn good things about Grado's to not give them a shout.

Congrats.
The SR60 was my first step into this hobby, and introduced me to the wow factor.
Someday I will have them bronzed and hang them from my rear view mirror.
