Yay finally finished my first cmoy!! huge shouts to meat01 and thrice for their help

and of course, tangent for his awesome guide.

Learned how to heatshrink (albeit with a hair dryer), read a schematic, solder effectively, and learn on a basic level how this thing actually works.

Nothing fancy--just the TLE2426 rail splitter, OPA 2227, and a 10k pot w/ switch

Part of the protoboard is cracked because my dad thought that by cracking that part off, it might fit. Turns out it's still too big...lol

Looks good -- your case definitely looks a lot better than my first few Cmoys did, and working in the TLE is pretty impressive for a first go

I wonder if you can slide the board underneath the jacks? Put down a layer or two of electrical tape on the bottom of the tin to prevent shorts if you try that, of course. I've been playing with axial-lead caps for the power reservoir myself. Radial-lead caps just stand up too straight, like you're seeing.
