I listen purely for enjoyment and enjoy warm, full sound signatures (I think?). Some sparkliness in the highs sounds nice too. VModa M100s are my current phones but I'll be branching out soon. Will the amp or DAC give me the biggest difference in sound?

All of owned in terms of amps and DACs previously are the Fiio e7 and Behringer UCA202. I used the Fiio with ATH M50s and it stopped working after 9 months or so and didn't notice much difference in the sound (I'm sure since they're sensitive and easily-driven headphones like the M100s).

Mainly looking for more fullness and better imaging if possible with my current headphones and a good start for other headphones in the future. Thanks in advance for the help!

My friend has the m50x. We hooked it up to my LG V10 as well as my $500 amp/dac jotunheim. I honestly didn't notice any differences that were worth running them with a dac/amp. I assume other people will have different opinions though. I think different headphones would be a better choice. I know the m50x have great isolation though and that might be why you have them.

With my LG V10, I have installed a mod called Viper4Android, I tweaked settings in the app and was able to make the m50x sound really nice.
