I always find it fascinating how different the perception of sound/earphones can be depending on person.
I thought about it when I saw the amount of hype surrounding the Xe6 and then I listened to them.

It's a long time since I used the stock cable but my memory of it was everything sounding a little veiled and congested.
Any cable with a price of, for example, over $100 will be better than a stock one.

For example, Linkin Park......
The first 4 albums sound better and better, then, when metal and rock evaporated - it's great. However, when we're talking about something like "A Place for My Head", these aren't the IEMs I'd choose.

Hello, thanks for the review, I am getting torn between the Traillii and XE6, if you had money to buy only one what would you choose ?, I am into mostly pop, edm and dance music. I know this is a Fir Audio thread, but I would appreciate a honest recommendation. I need something which would get my feet tapping, I currently own a Mext and enjoy its musical tuning, so looking for an upgrade.
For light energetic genres, the Xe6 will be a better choice if you need an emphasized bass.

Some stock cables cost over $1000. That's a bit of an oversimplification.
I've tried a bunch of expensive cables on my Kr5. I prefer the "cheap" stock one. ymmv

Does anyone have any impressions of the sound difference when using the various atom modules on KR5? - curious to try, but they look a bit of a pain to change!
I have, but on Xe6.
There are many of them, but, unfortunately, the impression of the replacement cannot be conveyed in censorious words, even taking into account my authorial past.

Obviously I'm talking about the stock Fir Audio cable.
But it's good, because upgrading the cable is a slippery slope... Changing the IEMs still gives more effect.

Rather not true in case of FIR's stock cables.
Scorpion is quite good, better with Xe6 than i.e. Forza Hybrid, PW No.10 or Dunu Hulk.
Around $1000 - the difference could be audible - LL Venom, Erua Tawa.
But below it would require a lot of hunting to find a better one than Scorpion.

LP with XE6 “works” but there’s IEMs that work better for that sound/genre for less money. You don’t need an XE6, or any of the frontier IEMs for that.
Musically or technically, they really don't need anything incredible. I enjoyed them on CA Solaris SE, CA Supermoon. However, does it sound better on the Traillii? Of course, yes.
