After upgrading my BTR3 to 1.2, the power-on and power-off sounds are now exactly the same. Is this normal? It's rather irritating, because the sound used sounds like it should only be a power-on sound, and now it's harder to tell if you turned the BTR on or off without looking at the LED.

Yes, is normal. That's how it works after 1.2.
I rather this sounds, the original sounds were to aggressive, but I agree that they should be different.

Anybody is having troubles with iOS 13?

Since the iOS update, my BTR3 kind of make some "cracking" sounds from time to time. I already erased the device from the iPhone and connect it again. I reset it. I don't know what could be. Some kind of new bug introduced with iOS 13.

Does the issue happen in other devices as well? If not, maybe you could report to Apple company for checking about that.

No. It used to work fine in every device. Now in iOS 13 it kinds of work weird. But in other devices works fine.

Yep, agree as well. It would be worth a small update IMO, even if that's the only thing that's being changed, just to exchange the start up or shutdown sound, so you can tell the difference. Sure, you can always look at the LED indicator, but I'm using this device mostly "blind", so a proper audio indicator would be sweet.

I have a problem with my BTR3. I connect it to my TV set over USB then ajust the L/R channel balance option from my android phone over bluetooth. When I disable the bluetooth connection to the BTR3, the balance is reset back to 0, the BTR3 doesn't remember it. How can it be fixed?

I think as they release BTR-3K the original BTR 3 is now obsolete, So no more FW development in the previous-gen product.

Yeah, there are many minor but important issues that could be corrected with a new firmware. I mean, it's not like we'll buy the BTR3K or BTR5 just because our DAC doesn't have an option that can be add with a software update. And even the apps for iOS are very forgotten.
