Sorry to spoil the mood, a simple google search on touchofmodern scam shows alarming results.

I will be polite and not accuse you of being a troll, Arianne with one post. But you would forgive me if I or anyone who repeated your search wondered otherwise. They are Better Business Bureau A+. The biggest complaint against them was that they copied someone else's business model. That lawsuit was settled and they immediately raised more funds.

Based on numerous reviews, people who knew what they were ordering seem generally to be very happy. The minority of complaints against them are mostly people that purchased items that were not what they were expecting. (Lousy LED light... furniture with no assembly instructions...) These guys are resellers. It is a buy and keep service: low prices, no returns. FAD IEMs are a known quantity so, at least for me, that is not a concern here.

To be clear, I know nothing about this company beyond learning about them today, doing some searches and disagreeing with your characterization.

I contacted Final Audio Design to ask it the products on the site are under warranty and supplied by them.

But It might take a few days to get a reply (from previous experience) - and the deals will be gone by then.

Will let you guys know if/when they respond

Good catch, they're actually called Whitehawk Ventures with plenty of complaints

As a friendly reminder, NEVER get PF from any suspicious sources since FAKE ones from China should be incredibly rampant

Be extremely careful with used ones as well, we never know what we see in the pictures and what we're actually getting in the end.

BTW, they're officially changing the brand from Final Audio Design to Final on June 9th

I've had my fair share of coming in touch with fake PFXs and am simply surprised by the huge discrepancy with the prices offered in regards to retail. To be fair i did not scrutinize all the search results as well.

Cheers, we are all here to share our thoughts on everything FAD.

Arrianne, we are all good.

seeteeyou, I see those as fairly typical BBB complaint results and the company does respond. Lots of satisfaction on the Internet too. Now as for the concern that the FADs might be fake, yes that has to be on our horizon. They could be fake and touchofmodern.com not even know it as I am quite sure that they are buying other's stock. Warranty will therefore be iffy too.

I am tempted nonetheless. It is also true that I was not planning to spend $1000 just now on an IEM that I do not need - even if it is a great price.

Let's see what sonickarma learns.

If anything were going south, don't expect a refund

They wouldn't give me a refund, because the sale was final, but they would honor a store credit.

That store credit could be worth $1000+ so as usual maybe we might need to do a risk-benefit analysis.

Hopefully this ain't true

I have tried on 20+ occasions to contact this company for resolution and have yet to receive a response.

Maybe give them a call and see how easy it is to get someone on the phone

If you use your credit card and it arrives not as described, or doesnt arrive at all, i believe the card company will look after you...

i bought one and did factor in the possibility of minor or major hiccups so the bonus is if everything goes smoothly...

If this is legit, it gives you an idea of the margins on these things...
