www.linum.dkDoes anyone know of a decent cable that I can purchase for these? I'm looking for something extremely light that isn't as fancy as the original cable. Honestly .. something like the Periodic Be cable would be nice..

Final Audio Design Impressions and Discussion Thread
I find only the stock tips to work with the E5K. Symbios and jvs make them sound horribly bloated. But with the stock they are one of my favorites across all price ranges.
The stock tips + balanced out of my 2.5mm Cayin N5ii output + custom pure silver litz cable = oozing with liquid warmth It's a very smooth, easy and pleasurable listen. Non-fatiguing too.

Tonight's selection is Bebel Gilberto
The E5000 just makes these tracks so intimate, like her voice is a balmy breeze and the notes are bright sparks from the bonfire on the beach. and there's a good amount of darkness in there that just adds to the mood. Driven by the WM1A.

Yep I trust the impressions and reviews, it punches above its price point and I am curious to see how Final has translated that incomparable knowledge of tuning the greatest mids in a DD. I have fond memories of the Heaven VIII!

I just met with a friend today who's also an audiophile, and he asked me if he can have a listen with the E5000. Besides the sound leakage, which is quite high with E5000, he was in love with the signature as well
I think you'll be rather pleased with it
I second the motion. Better than FH5. Perfectly rounded and sweet sound. Sonorous in the best way.]

I have no doubt, and I am a low volume listener, so sound leakage shouldn't be such an issue !
I mainly intend to use them at the office, where I don't like to let the VE8 or custom Phantom laying around, or maybe for short travel same concern taking 3/4K around with me

Well, to be honest to both, they are rather different, but I can see some folks prefering Final's sound, especially those looking for a larger soundstage, since FH5 has a really intimate one

That's a really good way to use them, if you don't crank them too loud.
I also had a friend who said that they weren't loud enough, and would literally try to crank them beyond what their phone can do, because he wanted to go louder.
For the record though, E5000 can eat a ton of power, like, 30/100 on my Burson Play, where most IEMs sit comfortable bellow 18

To me FH5 is punchy, E5000 is sweet. Sweet suites me better for classical, and even some jazz.
Truth is I love both of them. It would be a sin to own both don't you think?

Demo’d both and got the E5000. Driver count isn’t everything. The E5000 sounds much better to me with only one driver compared to four of the FH5 which to me sounded a little plain and generic.
It has a nice coherent liquid velvet smoothness which I hardly experience.

I certainly don't wish to bash the FH5, but the E5000 has a most elegant sound. At the same time, the sound from the FH5 is anything but subtle.
