wow the price for iems are getting ridiculous. Sure these higher end phones sound great but 4500 bucks American is just silly. It's great if someone can afford that and really all the power to you I'm sure they sound amazing but wow!!! Sorry just my two cents..happy listening.

Haha.. Agree.. For something that expensive, you can get 3 Sennheiser HD800S/ 2 Sony Z1R/ 1 Focal Utopia with a spare "change" to boot.. Now give that a think boyz!

Hahaha yeah I know, it's being a limited release will keep the price afloat and not depreciate much.. But still.. THAT's a Ton of money.. My examples are just putting the absurdness into our perspective, of "what we can get at the same budget" while still in the same hobby.
Not gonna blame anyone who can and willing to buy it.

I have enjoyed my 3 different pairs of the Heaven series for a couple of years now....BUT, i find

the price of these Labs obscene and insulting. This is how companies like Mark Levinson

started to disconnect from their patrons and forgot about the real goal here. This pricing suggests

that less than 1% of us will ever own these.

It's nothing new. FAD was always about making OEM / "reasonably priced" earphones and also the most expensive earphones on the market at the same time.

The Heaven series coexisted with the Piano Fortes for years. We're talking about ~$300 IEMs alongside ~$3000 IEMs. Two different lines. Two different consumers.

The LAB series is supposed to be the pinnacle of Final. The LAB I was the "ultimate expression" of their more reasonable balanced armature lineup. Now the LAB II is doing the same for the Piano Forte lineup, which has always been off in la la land doing its own thing. It's not meant for most consumers.

Consider that the LAB II is limited to only 200 units worldwide. Like the LAB I, it's meant to be rare and pseudo legendary. This doesn't mean FAD is going to stop making more consumer friendly earphones. If anything, the new Heavens and F series suggest they're offering MORE for the lower end market.

I mean, are we forgetting this is a company that released an $8,000 pair of all metal dynamic headphones---limited to like three units worldwide---before they started making an entire range of headphones from the sublime to the ridiculous?

Look up their full sized horn speakers sometime. These are rarely discussed anymore, but at the time they were like half a million dollars!

So no, this is nothing new for Final.
