Tidal has recently removed the crossfade option in the app. Do you still get stuttering?

I use the X7II with Tidal and do not get any stuttering. But before they removed the crossfade options I set it to 1 second. Maybe the App still remember these settings?

I still get stuttering. It renders Tidal useless for me. I thought it was a problem with internal storage, so I moved Tidal to use an SD card. The same problem happens with the SD card.

I am under the impression that Tidal only streams lossless on desktop clients, so for an android device the Hifi vs Premium in this case won't make a difference in SQ.

You can download music in lossless format with Tidal.

what would you suggest for a dap?
Any Android phone with Android 9.0 will support LDAC. Sony phones already support it. for LDAC use, not really a need for an unique DAP.

sounds interesting. will read about the player.
so you think it doesn't make more sense to invest in a more expensive player for my needs?
If your main player is Spotify, none of these DAPs are close to mobile performance. Hiby R6 may be the fastest of the DAPs but that high impedance is always an issue.
The best way is to visit a nearby store and demo a few DAPs to see if you feel the sound quality is worth investing in DAPs.

Hi,

I know X7mkII can be used as an external DAC for an android smartphone with usb. But does anyone knows if it is possible to do it over Bluetooth or Wifi?
Dear friend,

No, the X7MKII can not work as a DAC for mobile phone via Bluetooth or Wifi.
The USB DAC function of the X7MKII is designed for computer originally. So we could not promise whether it could be used as the DAC for Android smartphone you mentioned.
If you would prefer a player which can work as a receiver and transmitter, you may consider the M9 instead: https://www.fiio.com/m9

Best regards
