I am actually going to sell it (DX) and commit all of the proceeds to a cat & dog rescue org based in Orange County California. I donate to them about 2 times a year so this is a good cause and i can stop moaning like a baby.
If i can do a semi controlled opinion sharing with specifics that would be a good final use.
I talked with curry by phone and he likes the item as does Anakchan so it has it's well healed fans. I'm just not one. So do some "A" "B" stuff and ship it off for cats and dogs. I get to feel good about myself and move on. I am always up for that

I didnt like the sound from the stock X7, I do like the X5III and X5III W/Onkyo Music App. I am expecting the upcoming X7II to sound better than both of the daps I just mentioned.

I heard the MKII at the London Canjam where the rep said that it won't be coming out for a while as to not make the X5III regret their purchase only to find out that it is now available for preorder from AMP3 and that Fiio is ready to ship before the end of the month...

In any case the X7 sounded really good from short impressions. I couldn't get on with the X5 III though, there was a bit harshness and edginess all over the place that grated on me very quickly.

So the question to Fiio, can the X7 MK2 save Tidal/Spotify on external storage (mSD) and have they fixed the streaming interference from the first X7?

The X5III "bit harshness "? I dont think the X5III sounds harsh and most people if they have a complaint it would be that the X5III is too smooth.
