I think the mojo is good too, but the soundstage of x7ii is better

I agree that mojo is good, especially its placement. But, x7ii is better in clarity..

If you mean where you buy them from, I always buy them from HD Tracks. There are a few others but I only use HD Tracks.

I can indeed enter the Viper Effects interface and I can play with the options within, but none of them have a single effect on the music being played. I’ve tried all the options available, purchased a few of them too and they still don’t work. All the toggle switches work perfectly (so, from on to off and off to on), but no change to the sound at all. The same can be said for the equalizer portion of the Fiio Music app.

These facts remain true even after a factory reset.

I definitely made sure the internet was connected upon first using the Viper Effects, too.

Now a question. I have already bought all the Viper effects for the X7. Do I need to buy them all again or can I reclaim them somehow?

I Bought ViPER Effect on X7, could I use it on X7MKII?
A:We're sorry that ViPER Effect could only support the device which has been paid for. Any new device will have to repay for it. But it would be a problem when you upgrade the firmware. You could rest assured.

Correct. None of the options within the Viper Effects menu have a single effect on sound output.

I nerver buy DSD or Flac in 24 bits since nothing of my taste can be found in those super exotic formats, but if I'd buy them, I can vouch for HDtracks as an awesome site to get those from.

Also, the new firmware is still going strong on my side! Great job to @FiiO for making an awesome firmware, even so close to the end of 2017

After disconnect FiiO X7 from the PC, in order to transfer files, volume wheel not run, need to reset the device.

it happened to me once I was in tidal and plugged it in to down load from my pc but switching it off and back on solved it
