What do you think the new firmware will bring? seems Fiio just pushed out another update recently for the X5 III, which did some interesting things like boosting the headphone output, wonder if they will add this turbo mode to the X7 MkII as well.

Don't think so,cos no option in x5lll to replace the amp.

Chinese supports says new FW should arrive this week if nothing goes wrong.
Yes! If everything goes well, the new firmware would be released this week.
Best regards

Has anyone had problems connecting to a Macbook Pro running High Sierra in DAC mode?

I cannot for the life of me get it to work despite switching cables and ports. It is like the X7ii connects/disconnects/connects again but no output what so ever..
It is working flawlessly as a DAC when connected to my Windows PC..

I have had no problem using a MacBook Pro 13" Retina (Early 2015) running High Sierra. I use Swinsian and it seems completely stable. Perhaps you could try using a different port or a different cable. Also remember to setup the output rate correctly in Audio MIDI Setup.

Thank you for the reply. Like I said in my post, that was what I did at first with no success. Both cables I tried works with my windows pc.

Also remember to setup the output rate correctly in Audio MIDI Setup.

I have set it to 44.1 24bit, like it says on the display of my X7, same result.

I have a late 2011 MBP 13" and as soon as I set the X7 as output device it starts to enable/disable, like a loop.
Should I try a factory reset?

I have disabled Google Play Services by tapping a few times on "Device name" under "About device" screen. The problem is can't enable the Play services again! Tried to reflash the firmware however is still disabled...
Any thoughts!?

Perhaps something (software) could be interfering so you may want to try resetting both your X7 and MacBook.
