Updated X7 on saturday. After the update I made a factory reset.

After that still had the google play message issue.

So I tried to clean all OSX "dot" files. I used the software blue harvest to do this job for me. Which you can download via web to test it, or directly purchase in the mac app store.

After I "cleaned" the internal drive and sd card, the issue with the google play message was gone.

Can confirm that play / pause button now works as intented in pure music mode.

Can confirm that there seems to be an improvement in sound quality to my ears ( with am5 )

Fell like the battery power is better now with am5

Still got the issue with sample rate change, but this only happens when RM1 is connected via bluetooth

Do you mean the sampling rates issue through coax out when connected to RM1?

Thanks,

Updated to FW 2.0. I'm satisfy with it. However I found a problem with album art display. When I go to artist menu then sort by album, most of album art is missing. I think I have to copy a .jpg or .png to an album folder to display it. *This method is not work. The missing album art still missing, even with the folder contain .jpg or .png named 'cover' or 'folder'* This problem did not happen in the previous FW though.

This is not a serious problem but I hope Fiio will fix it in the next FW

Hi, he means the issue that after pausing on button for more than 20 seconds, X7 would refuse to resume using the same button. You would have to press power button once (no unlock) and they play/pause again - then it would resume play.

This is fine now, but I'm a bit suspicious that maybe something is not right with the fix ... for the 1st time since I have X7, after a few pause/plays, it simply refused to resume, got stucked on pause on FiiO app, had to reboot - that happened twice so it wasn't a rare event, more on this later after a few more hours of listening.

Btw, the SQ with AM1 is different indeed, at 1st tracks I thought it was a kind of placebo effect, but it surely is different, lower frequencies sound more full.

Regards

Same thing here. Not a big issue, but I had hoped the new firmware solved it.
It looks like the X7 now sounds better (to my ears), but I was wondering how the software can affect SQ. Can anybody explain this (briefly)?
Also I share the impression that this is an in-between update...
Still a very happy X7 user and I'm sure it'll only get better.

Hi!!

I just installed FW2.0 and still not possible to download offline music to the SD card with Tidal. Any idea of when this is gonna be added? It'll be a major improvement for me.

Thank you
Jaume

Dear all, sorry for the inconveniences. When we released the new firmware of X7 last Saturday, there was a little problem with our dropbox uploading system, so we used the onedrive link instead. But the onedrive link has its limitation in available countries and number of visitors, which made some users can't get access to it, sorry for the trouble. But now the problem has been fixed, here is the new dropbox link:
X7 FW 2.0 >> Download Address, pls kindly re-update, thanks.

Btw, if your X7 is with FW1.8 or FW1.91, you can get the automatic push notification for the new firmware.

Fiio,

Can you confirm that the A/V sync issue while playing video on the X7 is still a problem and that it's going to get fix, hopefully by the next fw release?

Thanks.

I'm not sure why so many posters are claiming that the new firmware altered the sound signature to sound "better", but guys, no overall sonic changes were made in this release.

@FiiO

If it was possible to make a wish for a feature to add in upcoming firmwares I´d LOVE to see a tap2wake setting for the screen. It would make the X7 so much easier to access without having to use the hardware button for screen on.
