@goodyfresh-I'm happy with the current setup, but I think you make a fair and valid point. I own the og x3 and x1, both drive IEMS without hiss and they appear to have a more powerful amp section. You are definitely entitled to your opinion, especially without being attacked.

Leather case is coming according to James so I am looking forward to see what they will look like. I will pick up the dock as well. I was planning to use the K5 as a dock lol but an actual dock looks cooler! I went from having no FiiO products to be a huge Fiio fanboy haha.

So hold up, what is this dock going to be and how will it be better than the K5 in this case?  Where is the page in this thread telling us about it and its features/specs?

A dock is just that, a place to put it and connect to different devices. The K5 is a relatively powerful desktop amp that also uses the X7 (X1, X3ii, X5ii) as a DAC.

  We will make a dock for X7 ( compatible with X1/X3ii/X5ii )  so you can used it as docking station , charging, worked as DAC with PC, connected to other audio device.  here is some rendering pictures.

I was eagerly waiting for the X7, then Chord hit the market with its Chord Mojo.
Priced at 599 dollars and is said to sound like its bigger brother Chord Hugo, all I can say it is truly an interesting time in the portable market.
