Unless you mean USB DAC screen did not appear when connected to USB from your computer.

You’ve installed drivers?

I wouldn’t suspect that anything related to USB DAC function has been affected by custom kernel one way or another. What firmware version & or custom kernel version do you have on your device?

Did USB DAC function work for you before installing custom kernel? Any chance the cable you’re using is fine for charging but not suitable for data transmission?

If you do restore your device w/ Firmware (1.2.3) Upgrade Tool, perform Factory Data Reset in your device’s settings app afterwards.

This is the first time I need USB DAC.

I restore my device w/ Firmware (1.2.3) Upgrade Tool
Swipe down screen is back !
But now I want to go to custom kernel.
When I run AndroidTool.exe from FiiO-X5iii-jkbuha-V2.4-Windows

See if you have better luck with this version of the android tool.exe . (For the heck of it, right click and run it as administrator *shrug*)

Windows 10 isn’t the issue, as it’s worked on roommate’s PC w/ Windows 10.

You get this error when you launch the android tool?

That’s quite strange, I’ve never seen the android tool in anything other than English...

Googling rkflashtool config file failed to load did bring up some info about moving everything to your C drive. Seems like that did it!
