Hey guys, just to tell you that I updated the first post to add Ai-Hybrid from @Bloodflame . The version wasn't specified so I assumed it was on the latest firmware.

Please add Hi-Fidelity 2.6                      to the 2.6 list

FIIO please please add replaygain to the 1st generation firmware...

I would be thrilled if they did this, even though 2.6 is the "final" firmware (and honestly, the X5 is a solid player as-is). I saw the list of changes in the X5ii firmware, though, and it was everything on my wish list for the X5.

I remember (I'm old) when Rio folded, the software guys kept "leaking" firmware updates as long as they could--they actually improved the Karma and Carbon quite a bit. Hopefully someone figures out a way to update the original X5 that way.

Hello guys,

I have a question regarding fiio x5.

Is there any way to replace opeamp inside easily?

wrong thread; try the X5 thread and ask again :)

this helps both you, and future visitors of this site and that thread.

Hi,
I've tried the link but the site is asking to "Enter the decryption key" in order to download. Could you please post it?
Thank you

I just bought the Fiio X5 in B&H they have $50 off if anyone needs one, I wonder, is there a way for me to determine which version of firmware it has installed and is there some sort of a guide to best practices for X5 and such someplace?

you know you can update/downgrade the firmware yourself, right?

you can see what version you're running in settings > about X5
