how big is the difference between them? I am currently using FIIO X5ii but I am not very impressed with the sound...Hopefully it is a massive upgrade
I don't find the UI very user-friendly. Also I always feel like the sound coming out from x5ii is a bit dull, maybe I am getting used SONY signature (been using sony mp3/4 for 5 years)
But let's see people's review and decide on this new amp. Look way better IMO
cayin i5/n5 is good broThank you, James!
This is reassuring to hear since the large voltage swing of X5ii is one of it's really great features!
What did you dislike on X5ii? I found it amazing, if not the best standalone DAP I have ever laid my paws upon![]()
If you're looking for a smooth signature, either X3ii or X7 might suit a smooth preference
Some companies screw people to achieve short-term success.
Some companies serve people to achieve longterm success.
Thankfully, Fiio fit into the second category.

ah icic. I once have all fiio daps until I sold all of them as there are better daps elsewhere like Opus, LP5, I5Haven't heard one yet so I cannot say anything about this.
But the neutral and tight sound of X5ii was the magic of it. Tight![]()
