You can control it in the Play Settings / Resume Mode. OFF - no memory, SONG - last song, POSITION - last position. Yours is now on POSITION.

Thank you for the answer! I found it in the settings but I wanted to understand why it starts playing the track automatically without asking me to do it. My other player Questyle QP1R also remembers the last position however it never starts playing a track immediately after turning the player on.

I would have liked to get rid of that «feature», but sadly the FiiO programmers had no merci – starting to play has remained the default behavior. The workaround is to not turn the player off, but let it enter the sleep mode.

Thnaks! Good to know that my player isn't defective however I would prefer to get rid of the automatic playing too.

Decided to call it a day on fixing mine, I don't have the time or the skills to do anything to help it , to cheer myself up I've bought the x7 ii hopefully that will last longer

Ah, I want one of those so darn much....

Hope some people will manage to take advantage of this deal, it still is one heck of a DAP, and one I would recommend if one wants a simple but effective DAP.

Great idea, great offer. Still enjoying my old X5ii but might get another one as a spare.
May I ask you what is the condition of the refurbished units? New battery, conditions of the screen, any scratches?

It's my main dap with which I play all my music, coaxial, dac, 2 amps and headphones, in my opinion one of the best deal ever

No. Only coax to coax.

X5ii comes with the coax cable you need if you have coax input.

I am not sure what it works with as far as USB OTG DACs go.

I don't think the mini USB port will output any music.
There's only the choice of Line and Coax outputs.

But, yes for OTG functions a special OTG cable is needed.
