Hello everyone, this is my first thread in this forum but i have been reading and learning things from head-fi for 3-4 years. So here is my problem:
I bought a Fiio X1 DAP and opened the box last night. It was not working at first so i thought the battery could be empty. I plugged it into my computer and then it started working. I left it to charge up for 2 hours and in its manual, it says that the charging time is 3 hours. So, when i came back to check it after 2 hours, i found that the battery of the X1 is swollen and completely bloated, the back side of the player is almost disconnected(like dislocated) because of the battery. I quickly unplugged from the computer and now, the device is not working. I am an electrical and electronics engineering student so i can solder things. Is there a possibility that replacing the battery can fix the problem? Or is it more likely that the device is burned out? Also, does anyone know how can i find a replacement battery for fiio X1? Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
