FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

Anyone else finds that the player crashes if there are more than 5 or 6 external playlists?
I got about 8 playlists and now the player crashes while navigating the playlist folder.
The playlists are in m3u format and the same happens when in m3u8 format.
I reset back to factory defaults and reformatted the SD card and the same happens.

Using FW 1.6.6 BTW.

I imported 80+ M3U playlists and have never had a problem with all of them showing up on my X1-II. Right out of the box. I startedt with FM 1.4.1 and am now on 1.7.2. I can't imagine what the problem you're experiencing might be. And I see you've already tried M3U8 with no success.

I am very happy with the new firmware version, especially with the new sensitivity of the scroll-wheel. I use it in the lowest mode.
There is only one thing that disturbes me: The order of the the titles in the category "All Songs" has changed, it seems now to be randomly. This must be changed back to an alphabetical order, like it was before.

Dear friend,

Glad to hear that the new sensitivity of the scroll-whell meet your need. The sorting may still need more improvement. We will report to the engineer about that as well. Sorry for bringing inconvenience to you.

Best regards

Got mine this weekend (And that probably means the X1 mk3 will be released next month, always happens when I get something)

Must say I'm really pleased. Up until now I used a rockbox clip+ and an E10k for when I'm at my computer. I looked at the M3 last year and found it a bit bass heavy for my taste. It would have made an acceptable replacement for my Clip+ if it had died since I could tone down the bass with the EQ. The X1 however is a step up from both. It sounds a bit more neutral, very airy and rather musical. It also showed me the limits of my own hearing. I don't think I could justify anything more expensive to myself, not sure if I'd hear enough difference.

One thing I did wonder, what's with the included stickers? There's two and they only seem to make the player uglier. Would have preferred something a bit more outlandish like a wood print.

Dear friend,

Thanks for the feedback. Those stickers are abrasive film. Will report to the designer about your suggestion.

I'm new to these kinds of audio players and I just got the x1 2nd generation because it has Bluetooth for exercise and I can use it wired as well. Wired it's great so far but being that blutooth was the main selling point I'm kind of screwed as I have to hold it pretty much up to my ear to have it not cut out nonstop. Will there be any fix for this In The near future? Is there a fiio amp that would help this issue?

Just a wild guess, but I suspect you screwed up the firmware update. There is -nothing- that looks like a dos screen on the X1-II. I suggest redoing the firmware update paying close attention to the instructions for doing so.

No the firmware update is straightforward and it worked fine. It played fine for a day and a half after then the screen went black while still playing. Now each button, volume, power etc... brings a different number. I can't find where or who posted it but someone said the same thing happened to them. I'll see when I get home what happens when I plug it into the computer but my guess is nothing and even if updating the firmware againwould technically fix the issue, how would I do it with nothing but a nonsense screen?

Dear friend,

Sorry about that. Please try to hold the power button for about 15s to restart the X1.

Best regards

Probably a bit late but that always happened to me before the latest update.
I still get the odd one but nowhere near as before.
I would do a factory reset and format the SD card for good measure.

Found another glitch with mine.
While playing .ogg files (quality setting 10), the player skips automatically after 5 minutes or so.
Doing a Google search, it appears this is an ongoing issue that never got resolved.
Anyone else here tried .ogg longer than 5-10 minutes?

Dear friend,

Maybe you could provide the music files to us for testing? You could send email to support@fiio.net.

Best regards
