i'm definitely looking for this form factor for my desktop use! i saw some japanese site mentioned 3W @ 32ohm which is way better than my m17 or AK CA1000! with the pre-amp out, i could use this to replace my a90/d90 stack with the added convenience of having a standalone android DAP. never try with m17 no idea if it could switch on the fly between android apps and to usb dac mode (fed from desktop).

cant wait to see more details and hope it'll be priced competitively.

Will it have mic? It could then be used as sort of smart station as well. As it has android so google assistant could be installed there. Plus home assistant to control home/have 2 way speech. It would be cool.

Will it be possible to play simultaneously from input usb dac for example AND android apps?

900 USD

Only thing I like to add please don't make this thing with inbuilt battery which is neither removable nor user replaceable.
Dear friend,

The R7 does not have battery.

Best regards

"The base DAP is "M11Plus ESS". Equipped with Qualcomm 8-core SoC "Snapdragon 660" and 4GB RAM. Equipped with FiiO custom specification Android 10.

Equipped with ESS DAC "ES9068AS", it supports PCM 384kHz/32bit, DSD256 playback. THX AAA-788+ is installed in the headphone amplifier.

DAP-like content is lined up, but in addition to 4.4mm, it also features a 4-pin XLR balanced headphone output, FiiO's first XLR line output, and a LAN terminal.

A DC power supply mode is also available that can enhance sound quality with a high-quality external power supply. This is also a familiar feature of FiiO's high-end DAP "M17" and is a feature of this unit."

So, this is essentially a modded M11Plus, with added outputs?

Wonderful idea! Is there an EQ function, especially in all modes (local playing, streaming, USB or optical input)? This is especially useful when driving speakers in an acoustically imperfect room where, for example, you need to decrease some bass. Thank you.
