Hello headfiers, I`m a little confused with this decision. My Q1 died a while ago and i`m running my head gear via this tiny K1, while its enough to drive my HD598 it really struggles with DT990 250ohm, Now I have two option, buy a brand new Q1MKII from local fiio dealer for around 100$ but its unbalanced power is still puny or get used A3 amp from a local guy, combine it with K1 and have enough juice to drive those puppies. From what I have read PCM5102 & AK4452 chips sounds the same. What is your opinion?

I don't mean to be unhelpful since this doesn't answer your question specifically with regard to the FiiOs, but I found the Q1 inferior to the Topping NX4. The Topping NX4 can be found used for around $100, or new on Massdrop for like 140. Fantastic sounding and delivers a good amount of power.
