Btw, what is the real-life playing time on M9? SE with lossless and balanced with lossless.

Really depends on what you plug in in terms of how much power you are providing.

So at 100% power initially, no wifi, no BT, and only the FiiO Music app running plugging in some regular easy driving 16-32 Ohm headphones you should get anywhere from 6 to 10hrs.

Hi! finally when I had planned to buy the Fiio M9 and bgvp m6 I read on earlier post that there is not a huge difference connecting the iem to the phone directly.
I'm a little surprised because the fiio is a dedicated player so if the improvement is no good enought I think that maybe is a better and cheaper choice to buy nothing but the iem's -or maybe to power them a little with something like btr3- since you always carry the mobile with you (mine is a moto g 2015 who plays flac and has aptx).

As you well see I'm a noob in this world so sorry if a misunderstand all the thing.

Btw, happy new year!
That's really up to you and at what stage you believe you can discern at.

The BTR3 is by no means an ultra hq amp/dac. It has a bit of coloration and tonally too deep past neutral and isn't very transiet (its thick sounding).

Some people may never be able to tell a difference. And that's ok.

Unfortunately, due to how hard it is to test, some people have to find out after spending $$ :frowning2: See if you can demo amps and test stuff out before making a big purchase.

Have you noticed any hiss during playback? I tried DMG on iBasso DX120 and hiss was not on the comfortable level.

Not in substantial amounts, its almost dead silent. Sometimes i can hear very subtle hissing but its hard to say is it due to track or M9.

So what you say about discerning works with any DAP, from Fiio m9 to I don't know.. Hiby R6 or some expensive stuff like Astell & Kern?

Thanks for the reply!

So I was walking my dog yesterday and she lurched forward knocking my M9 out of my hand. Now I have a small area of dead pixels on the screen. Anyone know approximately what this would cost to fix? It’s probably not worth it but it triggers my ocd.

That really is the idea behind audiophilia really. If you can hear the differences and believe the $$$ you pay warrants it.

There is no fixing it. Easilly or cheaply that is. It requires a whole new panel replacement.

I've posted a video review of the M9. It's my first review. If you have the time, please check it out and leave some constructive criticism for me. I'll be doing more reviews in the future. This one rambles on a bit, and I'm sure I left out several features but I hit the high points. Hope you like it.

I am using your cable.
Dear friend,

You are using the ML06 or CL06, right? We will report to the engineer for checking that. Can other APP work fine instead?

Best regards

Has anyone else experienced the ability to not see their Recently added tracks show up in the Fiio Music app on their M9 device? I know at least one person on here had mentioned this problem as well. I've been attempting Full and partial scans each time I make a change to my library but nothing changes (I only see the recent songs I've added when I first updated my library for the first time). This issue does not appear to be occurring on the mobile app for Fiio music.

Dear friend,

The sorting in recently added is according to file name instead of adding time. So you may not be able to read the most recently added music easily. But those music files are added if you have rescanned the media library. We have reported to the engineer about that and we will try to change the sorting way in recently added list in later firmware update.
In order to read the recently added music, you could switch the sorting in all music-3dots in the top right corner-sort by added time(click twice) for help instead.

Best regards

Does anyone know when the silver version of the M9 will be available? I was about to buy the M9 the other day, but realized that the only color available is black.
Dear friend,

The silver one is out of stock now. It will be available again in March.

Best regards
