    Dear friend,

No, the physical buttons can not control the fast forward or reverse. We will try to report your suggestion to our product manager.

    Best regards

    Dear friends,

To ensure system stability, only certain apps in our white list are allowed to be installed.

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your response! The only other questions I have are that I've read that the output power of the M6 is according to specifications listed at https://item.jd.com/37626938492.html is " ≥110mW (16Ω / THD+N<1%)". Is this correct?

Also, I have not seen the user interface but for those of us who do not plan to use any of the preinstalled streaming applications can they be uninstalled (to save space) or at least their icons removed so as to make the user interface a bit less cluttered?

I have an R3 - love it, but it does not do Spotify (was “in the works”)and I am very tempted by this

I wish to know if Deezer music app is whitelisted to be used on the M6.
    Edit:
I read a few pages back and I got the answer.

I'm shocked that this incredibly basic feature was missed by Fiio!

Surely, this feature MUST be made available. It's a very basic feature to have hardware fast forward and rewind buttons. The Fiio M9 does this, the Fiio M7 does this...in fact the vast majority of modern DAPs do this (and most of the older ones too!). I presumed this was just a basic feature. Can Fiio confirm that this will be sorted out as I am intending to order one of these and expect this as a very basic requirement as I prefer to fast forward this way than using the touch screen, as using physical button pressure allows for more precise movement through long tracks,.

The problem is that there are only 4 physical buttons on the DAP, one being power.

The next three are for (by default), play/pause, volume up and volume down.

From what I've gathered, the volume up and down buttons can be long pressed to go forward a track, or reverse a track, respectively. Having them do fast forward/rewind within a track would require some other method of accomplishing all of this (maybe long hold for fast forward/rewind, and then double press for track forward/reverse?)

I was thinking about how to best accomplish this and I think that your solution for long hold for fast forward/rewind and double press for track forward/reverse is an excellent idea.

I'm thinking about getting this to replace my iPod Touch 6G. Can anyone tell me how it compares in terms of thickness? Also what is the software like? Is it in any way similar to iOS? I also own a first generation FiiO X3 which I very much like the sound on. Would the sound on this be comparable or better? I am just listening on Sennheiser HD598SE headphones with CD-quality FLAC files. Thanks.

Is probably thicker than iPod by a lot. Software.. I'm feels close to simplified mode of huawei

    Touch 6G is 123 x 68 x 6 mm
    M6 is 93 x 53 x 11 mm
So while Touch is thinner, M6 is smaller in length and width.

M6 handles more formats and is specifically targeted to music. Touch is more mature in software and specifically targeted to audio and video.

Hard to discuss power output etc - as Apple does not show specs. They also don’t show tech info about the hardware they use.

    Dear friend,

    Yes.
You could read more parameters about the M6 from: https://www.fiio.com/m6_parameters
If you would need to uninstall the third party APPs, please go to Settings -> General -> Apps, locate and click on the app that you want to uninstall, and then click the 'UNINSTALL' icon.

    Best regards

Hallo Fiio . I just got my Fiio m6 wich i ordered last week. and im wondering why you put the next track button same as volume down button? from my experiences it should be the other way. but when im thinking again, it makes sense, because you dont want accidently trun up the volume when skipping to the next track. Do you guys from Fiio did it purposely, or is it just me got the defect one?
    cheers

That's on purpose, my Fiio BTR3 does the same thing, it's weird Chinese logic that doesn't make sense in any other country...

Just think of going up and down a vertical list of music and the buttons corresponds to that... Still weird I know.
