Received my m23, going to compare with the ibasso dx260
Hello, has anyone tested Astell&Kern PA 10 with this player?
Apologies if this question has already been asked in here. I couldn't see anything.
If anyone owns the iBasso DX320, how would you say that DAP compares against the FiiO M23 on sound quality alone?
After testing now about a week I not really hear a difference in sound quality. I tested with my IEMs 64audio U4s, Campfire Audio Andromeda 2020 and Beyerdynamic Xelento 2nd gen.
The M23 has a better battery life, is smaller/lighter and Roon ready. So I think, the DX320 will soon leave me

While the M23 is the most stable portable Roon endpoint I've tried (bought it for that use case), I'm still getting regular dropouts when I move between rooms at home. Works flawlessly when I'm stable, but I like to enjoy music whilst moving about.
I'm running a strong and stable Orbi wifi mesh network, locally stored files only, and my other Roon endpoints work fine.
Has anyone else experienced issues using the M23 in Roon Ready mode while streaming at home?
Posting here on Head-Fi because I'm too intimidated by the technical prowess of the power users on the Roon forums...

I use it as Roon endpoint and have no problems with dropouts:

no problems here too, sitting on my terrace, walking to the kitchen or anywhere, no dropouts using roon

Hi, is there any update on the new firmware? Or the Android 12 rollout?

I feel like this is almost becoming the "forgotten" dap in the Fiio range, no sign of any update to fix reported issues, no android update as promised and minimal responses to questions......yet look at other upcoming products like the dm13 and they're active on that thread regularly.......C'mon @FiiO give us an update!
What you need the update for? I didn’t find any specific problem

Fiio confirmed on M11 plus thread that they had run into issues with the update and are working on it, to ensure the update goes smoothly. There is no rush for this update, all your music will play perfectly fine on Android, chill and enjoy the music.Well... it's been two months since it was supposed to be launched...
