In USB DAC mode, the audio stream is most probably going directly from the XMOS chip to the DACs, not passing through the controller, which means the MQA unpacking cannot be done. It is also not natively supported by the DAC chip, so it is not happening. None of the TOTL DAC chips I know support MQA.
