Have you installed USB DAC Driver on your computer? If not, then first you need to install the driver. Link
Thanks. It’s a Mac, so doesn’t need the driver. It worked for me before – must be something with the settings on the M11. If I reset to the factory settings, will it delete all of the songs I downloaded in Tidal?

Hi, anyone had an issue getting their M11 Pro to enter DAC mode? I have it set to that, plugged into my Macbook and it does nothing. Doesn’t show DAC mode on the device and the device doesn’t show up as an audio output on my laptop. Thoughts? Thanks.
Have same problem with my Windows 7 PC, but not with my Windows 10 one.

Dear user,

Did you try another usb cable or ports as well? The USB mode has been set correctly in the M11 or not?

Best regards

hi @FiiO!

I have two questions:

-- When I play some DSD Track in the Fiio Music app the notification bar shows the correct frecuency but when I use other app like hiby music or USB audio player pro it shows 44.2 or 88.2.
-- The light on the on/off button only works when the player is turning on? As I remember it was red some times too but now only blue and when the device is starting up.

Many thanks!!

Ah, swapping USB cable did the trick (I was using the one that came with it). Thanks.

Dear user,

1. You could check whether there are any settings in the apps limited the output sampling rate?

2. The indicator light in power button will light up while charging.

Best regards

Thank you @FiiO

I have already check on USB audio player pro shows 352.8, Hiby Music 88.2 and Neutron 44.1. The configuration in the 3 apps is correct I have already confirm that.

So those APPs may not be able to output DSD natively in the player.

Dear PRO owners-

I bought the "regular" M11 about a year ago. I've noticed a slight audible static-like click each time a song starts to play. This usually is so close to the start of the track, I rewind and start it over; then it's fine. Been happening for as long as I can remember.

I got this response from FiiO Support regarding this click:
"Dear friend,
Thank you for your mail and support to FiiO.
About the slight crackle that occurs occasionally during playback
It is one of the HiFi audio players' core features to support different types of music formats and sampling rates. And each time when the DAC chip change the sampling rates, it will need to reset itself, which can cause a slight crackle in the sound. This problem cannot be totally prevented, unless converting all the songs to the same format and sampling rates before playing them (just like what the Apple iTunes will do). But doing this will make the HiFi player lose its biggest advantage."

Now 99% of my music files are 44.1/16 FLACs ripped at home from CDs. I use the FiiO Music app, low gain, slow roll off filter, 3.5mm SE out with Etymotic Research ER4SR iems.

My question to M11 PRO owners: does the PRO also exhibit this click immediately prior to the start of song play? Honestly, tired of experiencing the click on my M11 and considering upgrading to the PRO.

Thanks for your input and sorry for the long post.

Charlie

I also haven’t experienced this on the Pro, but I mostly play off the Tidal app.

Thanks. That's very sad.

For the Neutron player: Go to «Settings» / «Audio Hardware» / scroll down to «DSD, DSD instead of PCM (DoP)».
