So I'm expecting M11 Plus until AK4497 runs out of stock and then Fiio releases the M11S with ES9038Q2M.

Interesting. The ESS and AKM chips have markedly different tonality signatures (as the A&K SE200 shows). Will be interested to see whether Fiio will tune to try to maintain homogeneity in it's sound signature.

Did I miss, is this based on the dual mSD slot M11 or the single Pro variant?

More importantly, Anyone with experience with FiiO's THX-AAA78 based amps know, will this comfortably drive a 14 ohm iem (Euclid) w/ balanced cable without flat dynamics and rolled-off bass? (I'm assuming this device's amp module is unchanged.)

All my current DAP-amps using balanced-out prove to be current limited and struggles, require EQing (including the pre-THX based AM3 amp module of my X7); but even w/that still have little slam, rather giving only polite bass. Only my E1DA PowerDAC V2 grabs this iem in question by the planar element and shows it who's boss and has authoritative bass without any EQ or tone control. But that's a pita to use on the go.

Would consider this if I hear from those w/ experience the amp module this uses fits my use case.

That monster is the new M17
Ah - excellent, thanks for the info.

I was just playing with an iBasso DX300 in a shop recently, and decided I need a monster DAP in my life. It's huge, and 1.2w/channel on balanced. But as a very happy M11Pro user, I think I will wait for FiiO's monster.
Bring it on!

SoC: Qualcomm 660
Wow, that is a HUGE increase in multi-core processing power. Geekbench 5 compared:

Benchmark: Single/Multi Core

Exynos 7872: 293/774
Snapdragon 660: 333/1298

Increase: 14% / 68%
